Tamara has been working within the public Mental Health stream as a Registered Nurse. She began her career in the disability sector as a disability support worker whilst studying her Diploma of Nursing and later completing her Bachelor of Nursing at La Trobe University. With a passion for healthcare and improving the lives of others, Tamara has built a career focused on both clinical practice and personalised care coordination. Throughout her career, Tamara has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with complex healthcare needs, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support to live independently and with dignity.
Tamara was always drawn to healthcare, inspired by a desire to help people in their most vulnerable moments. Beginning my nursing career working within a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, aged care facilities and community health services. Over the years, Tamara has gained extensive clinical experience in areas in medical wards, palliative care and mental health. Tamara has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and children. Enjoying the outdoors is a big part of her life, whether its exploring nature, taking long walks, or unwinding at the beach. Travelling is another favourite pastime, allowing Tamara to explore new places and create lasting memories with loved ones. These activities help her maintain a balanced lifestyle, recharging and staying connected.
