Annie has been working in early childhood for over a decade in a range of roles and regions. She began her career as an Early Childhood Educator and Kindergarten Teacher, working with diverse groups of kids, which sparked her passion for advocacy and ensuring every child has access to the opportunities they need to thrive.
After moving to Geelong, Annie transitioned into the disability space, joining Meli/BCYF as part of the NDIS Early Childhood Team. For over four years, she worked closely with families, providing hands-on support to children and young people with complex disabilities, medical and health needs, and behaviours of concern.
Through this work, Annie has built a strong understanding of the NDIS, helping families navigate the system with confidence. She has supported families with funding processes, complex requests like assistive technology, home and vehicle modifications, and advocating for the right services to help children reach their goals.
Annie is now furthering her studies in Disability and Inclusion, continuing to build her knowledge so she can support families in a way that promotes independence, inclusion, and meaningful progress in everyday life.
