Makenzie is a down-to-earth and dedicated Support Coordinator at Sage who’s all about creating safe, supportive, and judgment-free spaces for people to feel heard and understood. With a Certificate IV in Community Services and over three years of experience as a Recovery Worker in a Residential Mental Health Rehabilitation, she brings empathy, insight, and a strong practical edge to everything she does.
Originally raised on a farm in Northeast Victoria, Makenzie recently made the move to Geelong for a fresh start and new challenges. She’s passionate about mental health, psychosocial recovery, and assisting others work toward their goals, whether it’s through structured support or a quick check-in, her approach is grounded, consistent, and people-first.
Makenzie is proudest when she sees the people she supports grow in confidence, find their voice, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach. She’s a straight shooter who builds strong, trusting relationships by keeping things real, showing up, and being someone others can rely on.
Outside of work, Makenzie is a big footy fan and enjoys playing netball. She’s always ready for an adventure, whether it’s a spontaneous road trip, a camping getaway with friends, or getting lost in a good book. When she’s looking to relax, she enjoys watching movies and listening to music. Makenzie brings that same zest for life to her work, staying curious, creative, and always on the lookout for new ways to solve problems and help others.
